This model describes our possible levels of effectiveness in managing the complexity of a situation (ordered) in relation to our level of psycho-physiological activation in that same situation (x-axis).
In other words, if we are “in the game”, “on the ball”, “on point”, “in flow” we have the ideal level of both physical and mental activation to manage a given situation to the best of our potential.
We call this condition the "sphere of personal effectiveness" and we identify it with the upper part, the peak, of the curve.
The personal effectiveness curve, created by De Micheli, Lanciani and Motta, and based on the most relevant research and discoveries in the psychological field, is a key to identifying and developing your professional potential and beyond. It is a transversal tool that we use as a framework for our assessments, coaching and workshops, offering our clients an effective yet sufficiently intuitive representation.
In this article we detail the model and its implications.
